Trusting from the beginning is the most efficient!

It may sound weird, but I’m going to demonstrate it here, taking inspiration from Pascal’s wager!

Unlike the knowledge that can be transmitted without losing anything and received without taking anything away from others, the time that
➡ I give to others is no longer available for me,
➡ Others give me is also taken away from them.

A minute that I lose benefits no one, and I have no additional time if others waste theirs. Time is therefore a resource that must be spent or invested cautiously. Something that is possible thanks to trust.

Have you ever tried to calculate, over an average life duration of 80 years, how much time you would spend looking for your keys and turning them to open and close doors? If we consider only 4 times 30 seconds a day, that still represents a total of more than 40 days… more than a month of life…

Distrust is therefore very time consuming and inefficient!

Conversely, trust saves time, as summarised in my DIY illustration.

1️⃣ You trust a priori and the person is trustworthy: you quickly enter into a mutually beneficial relationship.

2️⃣ You trust a priori when the person is not trustworthy: you quickly gain clarity on the true nature of the person.

3️⃣ You trust a posteriori when the person is trustworthy: you will have to invest time to move from a relationship of mistrust to a mutually beneficial relationship.

4️⃣ You trust a posteriori and the person is not trustworthy: you will stay longer in a blind zone about the true nature of the person.

Considering the above, I make it my duty to help create an environment around me that makes it possible to trust a priori, because wasted time is for everyone!

❓And in your opinion, trust must be earned, or do you choose to trust until proven otherwise?
